Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking a Supervisor Operations to lead day-to-day manufacturing, distribution, or repair activities with responsibility for people, productivity, safety and quality KPIs.

You will hire, onboard, train and coach up to 35 staff, assign daily work, monitor progress and drive continuous improvement while modeling Zebra’s values. The role offers hybrid work, adaptable hours and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory experience in a related industry.
• 6-9 years’ experience including minimum 1 year as team lead / supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manages up to 35 employees and/or contract workers in an operational area; hires, onboard, trains, and evaluates staff.
• Assigns daily work and monitors progress to meet KPIs.
• Collaborates across shifts to optimize performance and foster a culture of belonging, development, safety and high performance.
• Models Zebra’s culture and values for the teams they lead.
• Compiles and analyzes operational data and prepares leadership reports with improvement proposals.
• Evaluates subordinate performance and provides coaching and feedback.
• Conducts performance appraisals and determines pay increases consistent with company practices.
• Partners with HR on personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
• Leads projects as assigned and performs other duties.

What We’re Looking For:

The Supervisor Operations manages the day-to-day execution of Zebra’s manufacturing, distribution or repair businesses, with direct oversight and accountability for the people, productivity, safety, quality and other KPIS with the associated business / site.

Responsibilities:

• Manages up to 35 employees and / or contract workers in an operational area. Is directly responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, performance and engagement of the staff.
• Assigns daily work, monitors progress, engages to resolve obstacles to ensure KPIS are met.
• Collaborates with peers across shifts and functions to support optimized performance across the site / business Intentionally engages to drive a culture of belonging, development, safely, continuous improvement and high performance
• Models Zebra’s culture and values for the teams they lead.
• Compiles and analyzes operational data. Prepares reports for leadership that include proposals to address performance gaps in the team.
• Evaluates performance of subordinates, provides coaching and feedback to support success.
• Conducts performance appraisals and determines pay increases for direct reports in alignment with Zebra’s philosophies and practices.
• Partners with Human Resources to recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
• Participates or leads projects as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Preferred Education: Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent supervisory experience in a related industry

6-9 years’ experience including minimum 1 year as team lead /supervisor

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
• Intermediate level skills in MS Office and Microsoft systems
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and guidelines
• Knowledge of quality and statistical analysis tools and methodologies
