Job summary

PennEngineering Mexico is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate and oversee manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with production schedules, quality standards, and process optimization. This position works closely with Engineering, Quality, Materials and Maintenance to sustain an efficient production flow while driving continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned area.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production supervision in metal-mechanics manufacturing.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating production processes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and basic quality management.
• English language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee compliance with the production schedule.
• Monitor KPIs such as machine efficiency, labor efficiency, scrap, OTD, and COPQ.
• Ensure optimal utilization of resources and material availability.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance through meetings and production tracking.
• Develop, implement and ensure SOP adherence.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage team schedules, vacations and time-off requests.
• Identify training and development needs.

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production supervision within the metal-mechanics manufacturing industry, preferred.
• Proven experience in team leadership and production process coordination is required.
• Ability to follow production schedules and monitor KPIs to measure departmental performance.
• Knowledge of basic safety, hygiene, and civil protection regulations.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English, preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms for production control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems and problem-solving methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct root cause analysis when issues arise and implement actions to correct and improve production processes.

• Identify training and development needs to enhance team performance.
