About the Role

Our client, a leading food processing company based in Tijuana, Baja California , is seeking an experienced and meticulous Supervisor of Cleaning and Disinfection Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day cleaning activities, supervising a dedicated team, implementing strict sanitation protocols, and overseeing the safe handling of cleaning agents and equipment within the plant. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all cleaning and disinfection activities within the food processing plant, ensuring compliance with established protocols and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP).
• Manage, train, and schedule a team of cleaning technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure efficiency and thoroughness.
• Develop and refine cleaning procedures for all production areas, equipment, and storage facilities to prevent cross-contamination and microbial growth.
• Ensure the proper use and storage of all cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and company policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of the plant environment to verify sanitation effectiveness and identify potential risks or non‑compliance issues.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, pest control activities, staff training, and audit results.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Production departments to address sanitation concerns and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, PPE, and related equipment.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in food industry sanitation and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supervisor in cleaning and sanitation, preferably within the food and beverage industry in Tijuana, Baja California .
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and relevant local/international standards.
• Experience in managing and motivating a team.
• Proficiency in operating industrial cleaning equipment and understanding chemical applications in food processing environments.
