Construction Specialties, Inc. seeks a seasoned engineer to lead cross-functional new product development and product/process improvements aligned with strategic goals. You will drive rapid prototype iteration, testing, and commercialization with a team across CS locations.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Engineering, with 3–5 years of related experience, EIT certification, and a proven ability to guide complex projects from concept to production while collaborating with AHJ and suppliers.

Formación

• BS in Engineering; MS preferred; 3–5 years related experience.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or achievable within 1 year.
• Extensive knowledge of building codes and AHJ processes.
• Experience in product development: mechanical dynamics, testing, and optimization.
• Self-starter with autonomy; strong leadership and teamwork.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Proficient in MS Office and drawing/design software.
• Knowledge of Lean, Agile, and basic financial accounting.

Responsabilidades

• Review, sign, and seal engineering plans and design documents per building codes and regulations.
• Drives cross-functional development of New Product Development (NPD) initiatives toward production readiness.
• Breaks down complex product ideas into actionable technical tasks for rapid results.
• Performs internal/external tests and compiles comprehensive test reports.
• Plans and conducts trials; summarizes research and trials in detailed reports.
• Interacts with outside vendors for materials and processes to support NPD.
• Constructs, tests and documents prototypes with material usage, costs and sustainability.
• Supervises projects at group level for pilot models and QC checkouts where applicable.
• Provides coaching to manufacturing operations to solve technical issues.
