OPmobility in Monterrey, Mexico seeks a Supply Chain Design & Packaging Engineer to design optimal supply chain and packaging strategies for new projects, collaborating with manufacturing teams and plant operations to ensure safety, quality and cost efficiency.

You will lead inventories, budgets, and packaging specifications, drive lean improvements, and coordinate with suppliers to meet production trials and customer requirements in an industrial automotive context.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master's is an advantage.
• Experience in supply chain engineering, plant logistics, packaging engineering or similar in manufacturing, automotive, or logistics environments.
• Strong knowledge of design, logistics processes, inventory management, packaging development, and material flow optimization.
• Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles and optimization tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and ability to work with CAD/3D visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to lead initiatives in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and define the optimal supply chain and packaging strategy for new projects, ensuring safety, quality, and customer service while minimizing costs and inventory levels.
• Develop supply chain concepts covering inbound/outbound logistics, internal flows, and information flows with manufacturing teams.
• Calculate and manage project-related supply chain and packaging budgets, including cost-per-part analyses and packaging expenditures.
• Ensure quotations and assumptions are based on standardized equipment, processes, and best practices.
• Identify and escalate potential risks across the project lifecycle.
• Define optimal inventory and stock levels with focus on lead-time reduction and service performance.
• Develop packaging specs for semi-finished and finished products meeting customer requirements.
• Collaborate with assembly engineers, project managers, suppliers and plant teams to ensure packaging solutions meet requirements.
• Coordinate development, testing, validation and implementation of packaging equipment for production trials.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean principles to enhance logistics performance.
