Job summary

Vertiv Monterrey is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead supplier on-time delivery performance improvements, local sourcing and cost reduction for assigned categories in the Vertiv Americas region.

The role collaborates with Category Management, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Planning, Operations, Engineering and Logistics to enhance supplier performance and resiliency, while aligning with regional and global procurement strategies.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related area.
• 3+ years of experience in Sourcing or Procurement.
• ISM or APICS certification (preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Must already possess appropriate documentation for travel to the United States.

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive supplier performance improvement programs for on-time delivery, cost, quality, and risk.
• Plan and lead regular supplier business and performance reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Lead local sourcing for the Vertiv Monterrey plant and drive change.
• Localize critical parts to improve lead time, cost, quality, and agility.
• Expand cost reduction pipelines and lead execution of projects.
• Drive supplier compliance programs and accountability for improvement actions.
• Collaborate across planning, procurement, operations, engineering and quality to improve processes.
• Build and grow supplier relationships and site supply chain performance.
• Partner with Purchasing and Operations on supply chain improvement initiatives.
• Lead data analysis for Total Cost of Ownership to support strategies.
• Lead moderately complex sourcing events.
• Identify process improvements and lead change initiatives.
• Support strategic objectives by meeting supplier performance needs.
