Johnson Controls, Inc. in Mexico seeks a procurement business partner for indirect spend across multiple business units, driving category strategies and corporate initiatives.

You will identify cost savings, lead project plans in manufacturing plants, distribution centers and offices in North America, and act as a liaison between business units and category management to optimize spend and supplier performance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum of six years of experience in planning, project management, purchasing, or procurement; manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient in English.

• Strategic sourcing for indirect procurement; includes Logistics, Temporary Labor, MRO, Facilities.
• Strong Excel and PC/software skills.
• Experience in spend and cost analysis with strong analytical ability.

• High-level negotiation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Be a true business partner for assigned business units and translate requirements into category strategies.

• Enabler and change agent between business units, category management and supporting functions.
• Execute spend analysis for assigned units and identify optimization opportunities.
• Deploy corporate category strategies and drive supplier adoption.
• Drive procurement strategies to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Support supplier performance management, ensuring terms and SLAs are met.
• Prepare, review and approve RFx documents; lead negotiations for categories/projects.
• Report key metrics timely and accurately.
• Identify and implement process improvements to simplify procurement and drive efficiency.

What you will do

As a part of JCI’s Indirect Procurement organization, you will function as a procurement business partner, interfacing directly with one or more business units to ensure category strategies, programs and corporate initiatives are effectively and efficiently deployed. You will alsoidentifycost savings and trade working capital improvement opportunities and create/drive project plans in manufacturing plants, distributioncentersand corporate offices in North America.

How you will do it:

• Be a true business partner for the assigned business unit(s). Understand procurement’s role and how this enables true business success. Understand business priorities and key stakeholder expectations, translate these requirements, and ensure corporate category strategies reflect these needs.

• Be a spokesperson for the indirect procurement organization. Understand where, how and when indirect procurement can deliver value to the business. Clearly articulate how this relates to business needs, represent, and drive this agenda.

• Be the enabler and change agent for the enterprise. Effectively liaise between the assigned business unit, corporate category management team and supporting functions to ensure alignment and accountability in execution and drive action.

• Execute spend analysis for your assigned businessunit.Identifywhatwe buy, who we buy from, where we buy it, how we buyitand why we buy it. Understand how this fits into the broader indirect procurement landscape and how it canbeoptimizedtomeet or exceed annual goals related to savings and trade working capitalimprovement.

• Own the effective and efficient deployment of corporate category strategies for your assigned business units.Drive preferred supplier adoption and utilization to ensure negotiated value iscaptured.

• Drive business facing procurement strategies to standardize,managedemandanddrive a lower total cost of ownership for thebusiness.

• Support daily supplier performance management, ensuring negotiated terms, conditions and service levels are deliveredin accordance withcontracts. Resolve escalations and issues to avoidimpacttooperationsand usersatisfaction.

• Prepare,reviewandapprove RFxdocumentsforonbehalf of assigned business units. Lead initiatives and negotiations for business unit-specific categories andprojects.

• Responsiblefortimelyandaccuratereportingof key metrics.

• Identify,designandexecute process improvement initiatives to simplify procurement and cross-functional processes,driveefficiencyandincrease usersatisfaction.

What we look for? Position Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in related field

• Proficiencyin ERP/MRP and its impact on a multi-plant supply chain

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, and potentially conflicting, priorities with stakeholder needs

• High level negotiation skills
