Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Business / Operations Management desired.
• 4+ years working in materials planning and scheduling in a manufacturing or purchasing environment.
• Experience in inventory management, ERP/MRP and KanBan systems.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement, mathematical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Place and maintain suppliers purchase orders for on-time delivery of materials under MRP or equivalent planning engines.
• Maintain communication with vendors to ensure a quick execution of MRP exception messages when a PO date has to be adjusted.
• Coordinate with vendors for expedited transportation when necessary.
• Work with vendors to maintain low Air freight spend.
• Follow up receiving process of purchased components and finished goods to ensure PO-related issues do not delay payments.
• Escalate through vendor management to improve delivery performance.
• Maintain optimum stock value of purchased components and finished goods.
• Provide operations with critical materials to avoid downtime.
• Ensure proper deployment of system parameters to avoid overstock/shortages.
• Utilize tools to identify supplier capacity concerns and coordinate with Kohler FMG departments.
• Aim to reduce lead times and minimum order quantities through partnerships with suppliers.
