Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, material planning, supply chain, or supplier management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting multiple plants and managing competing operational priorities.
• Working knowledge of ERP purchasing transactions and open-order analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and bilingual English-Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material coverage and timely purchasing support for all three Sanimex plants to prevent shortages and production interruptions.
• Manage purchasing follow-up from demand review and PO placement through supplier confirmation, delivery, and issue resolution.
• Monitor open orders, shortages, supplier commitments, delivery exceptions, and supply risks; escalate issues needing timely decisions.
• Coordinate supplier recovery actions and urgent plant requirements based on production impact and priorities.
• Provide dashboards and recurring reports improving visibility of material coverage and purchasing performance.
• Support cost, service, supplier-performance, and compliance objectives while following processes and controls.
• Partner with Plant Operations, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve exceptions and protect schedules.
• Standardize open-order reviews, shortage tracking, supplier follow-up, alerts, and routine reports.
• Use ERP data and shared tools to reduce manual consolidation and highlight actionable exceptions.
• Maintain workload continuity and support transitions of supplier, plant, and open-order responsibilities.
