Jabil in Mexico is seeking a Purchasing Leader to manage the workcell's purchasing staff, align materials supply with demand, and support supply chain strategies. You will recruit, coach, and develop the team, monitor performance against operational metrics, and collaborate with business units to optimize cost and ensure material availability.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit and interview Purchasing Staff.
• Communicate criteria to recruiters for Purchasing Staff position candidates.
• Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
• Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
• Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
• Coach and mentor Materials staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
• Create and manage succession plans for Materials function.
• Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results.
• Solicit ongoing feedback from WCM/BUM/peers and team members on contribution.
• Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about accomplishments.
• Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
• Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics.
• Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in crises.
• Provide weekly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information.
• Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use appropriate business style.
• Know and understand the campus strategic directions.
• Define, develop and implement a Materials strategy.
• Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems.
• Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
• Provide feedback and support development of supply chain initiatives.
