Jabil in Mexico (Jalisco region) is seeking a procurement professional to optimize overall material costs, develop supplier bases, and negotiate pricing and terms for strategic materials. The role includes supervising Purchasing staff within the workcell and supporting SCM initiatives.

The successful candidate will work with internal resources and customers to expand AML, analyze purchase prices, and ensure competitive quotations while maximizing MPV.

Formación

• Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers and clients.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and project component purchase prices reflecting inventory value in Standard Costing.
• Assist hiring manager by participating in recruiting and hiring activities.
• Ensure workcell Purchasing staff are trained and equipped to execute their functions; develop workcell training.
• Optimize overall cost of materials.
• Support and provide inputs to improve Jabil SCM initiatives and strategies.
• Improve sourcing options by adding strategic suppliers to AML.
• Provide input to determine quoted costs to customers that are competitive while maximizing MPV.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, delivery and quality.
• Manage materials that are business-unit specific and/or strategic.
• Understand suppliers, their capabilities, market trends and technologies for assigned commodities.
