Walker Products is seeking a qualified Buyer for our distribution center in San Mateo Atenco, Estado de México. This onsite role requires residence within commuting distance or relocation to the area.

The Buyer will handle purchasing finished goods and inventory, manage supplier relationships, review forecasts and lead times, create and track purchase orders, and work closely with logistics, sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar).
• Minimum 3 years as a Buyer/Purchasing Specialist or similar role.
• Experience purchasing for distribution, wholesale, or retail-support environments.
• Proven ability to review inventory requirements, forecasts, and lead times.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders and monitoring supplier delivery performance.
• Proficiency with ERP and inventory-management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Purchase finished goods, components, packaging, and other materials to support DC operations.
• Review inventory levels, forecasts, and demand signals to determine purchasing needs.
• Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders with accurate pricing and delivery dates.
• Monitor open POs and coordinate with suppliers on production and shipment status.
• Collaborate with logistics, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service levels with suppliers and evaluate performance.
• Identify supply-chain risks and work with internal teams to mitigate shortages.
• Maintain supplier records, pricing agreements, and documentation in ERP.
• Prepare reports on purchasing and supplier performance as requested.
