Job summary

Sensata is seeking a Cost and Financial Planning Analyst to support forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis of company finances and expenses. You will build financial models, benchmark processes, and provide insights to drive cost efficiencies across functions.

This role collaborates with leadership on long-term planning, conducts variance analysis, evaluates investment options, and helps develop annual plans and product cost estimates.

Qualifications

• University degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
• Strong communication: oral, written and presentations.
• Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
• Forecast quarterly and annual profits
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Conduct thorough research of historical financial data
• Explore investment options and present risk and opportunities
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; coordinating with leadership on long-term financial planning
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, and tools
• Recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes
• Oversees the examination of data to help with reducing cost in all operations
• Contribute in developing yearly operation plans, budgets, and estimating new product costs, including economic analysis
