Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing across Direct Materials, including packaging and chemicals, with approximately $100M annual spend. You will develop category strategies, run sourcing events, and negotiate supplier agreements, partnering with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in global procurement, a Bachelor's degree, and strong communication with senior leaders. Hybrid work: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote; travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a global, matrixed environment managing Direct Materials categories.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing and engaging with senior leadership.
• Proficient in sourcing tools and negotiations; knowledge of SAP preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply.
• Lead strategic supplier relationships and supplier evaluations.
• Run competitive sourcing events (RFPs/RFQs) and award recommendations.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts that protect company interests.
• Coordinate P2P issue resolution and maintain category documentation.
• Bridge R&D and Procurement to reflect needs in category plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and leverage AI for insights.
