Job summary

Danfoss Reynosa site is seeking a Strategic Buyer to strengthen supplier performance and shape procurement strategies. You will help ensure material availability, competitive costs, and sustainable growth for the Reynosa operations in a global matrix.

As a mid-senior professional, you will negotiate contracts, coordinate cross-functional activities, and drive supplier improvements to support continuous supply continuity. This on-site role offers growth within a global engineering-driven company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

As our Strategic Buyer, you’ll play a key role in strengthening supplier performance and shaping procurement strategies that support reliable supply, competitive cost, and sustainable business growth. Your work will help ensure our Reynosa operations have the materials, supplier capabilities, and commercial agreements needed to serve our customers effectively. You’ll collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, project teams, and external suppliers in a global matrix organization, taking ownership of strategic supplier activities and helping us build a more resilient, efficient, and collaborative supply network.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead strategic supplier relationships, driving capacity management, delivery performance, supplier
  development, and long-term collaboration.
  
• Own sourcing and commercial activities, including supplier contracts, price negotiations, and
  benchmarking to strengthen competitiveness and create sustainable value.
  
• Coordinate supplier activities for project ramp-ups and ramp-downs while leading initiatives focused
  on cost reduction, quality improvement, and delivery performance.
  
• Manage supplier change requests and logistics agreements, partnering across functions to align
  requirements and improve end-to-end supply performance.
  
• Protect supply continuity by proactively managing supplier-part escalations and leading
  cross-functional teams through root-cause problem solving to achieve timely, sustainable resolutions.

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor's degree combined with relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or a
  related business environment.
• Experience managing suppliers, sourcing activities, negotiations, supply-chain challenges, or related
  procurement responsibilities, with a focus on delivering business results.
• Strong negotiation, networking, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to
  balance commercial priorities and supply requirements.
• A proactive, self-driven, and collaborative mindset, with the ability to navigate competing interests
  and influence stakeholders in a matrix organization.
• Strong English communication skills for frequent collaboration with global teams and suppliers.
