Job summary

Daimler Truck AG is seeking a procurement professional to support DVCM Bus Mexico production by negotiating and renewing supplier agreements, ensuring competitive pricing and long-term commitments. The role emphasizes cost efficiency, risk management, and alignment with procurement guidelines.

Qualifications

• Process management experience and SAP proficiency.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with local and international cross-functional teams.
• Experience with technical drawings & tolerance.
• Direct materials management experience for factories.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• 2 years experience with purchasing negotiations, cost structures & contracts.
• Knowledge of automotive - commercial vehicle industry landscape focusing on metal fabrications, wire harnesses, powertrain, exhaust systems, suspension components, tires & wheels.
• English level: B1 and Spanish level: C1.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate or renew supplier agreements (LON´S & LTA´s) to purchase critical materials, parts, tooling for DVCM Bus Mexico production on assigned commodities.
• Negotiate long-term agreements with suppliers and seek exclusive products for DVCM Bus Mexico.
• Manage supplier relationships and work with suppliers to achieve cost goals for DVCM Bus Mexico.
• Represent the purchasing team on projects, develop long-term/global commodity strategies, and evaluate materials, methods, and suppliers as needed.
• Conduct VA/VE workshops with selected suppliers as requested by management.
• Create and implement CoMeT measures to report efficiencies or risks, and monitor results through global business systems.
• Ensure procurement contracts (NDA, LOI, SD, LON, LTA) are in place for all new DVCM projects with current/new suppliers.
• Support planning/logistics for material issues to ensure timely delivery to DVCM Bus Mexico production.
