Job summary

Daimler Truck México is seeking a procurement specialist to negotiate and renew supplier agreements, manage cross-functional collaboration, and optimize sourcing for DVCM Bus Mexico production. This role focuses on metals, tooling, and critical components to meet cost and quality targets.

You will work with local and international teams, leverage SAP and Microsoft Office, and engage in VA/VE workshops to drive efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Process management using SAP.
• Minimum 2 years experience with purchasing negotiations, cost structures & contracts.
• Experience with local and international cross-functional teams.
• Experience with technical drawings & tolerance.
• Knowledge of automotive - commercial vehicle industry landscape including metal fabrication, wire harnesses, powertrain components, tires/wheels.
• English level: B1.
• Spanish level: C1.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate or renew supplier agreements (LON's & LTAs) to purchase critical materials, parts, tooling for DVCM Bus Mexico production.
• Negotiate long-term supplier agreements and exclusive products for DVCM Bus Mexico.
• Manage supplier relationships and work with suppliers to achieve cost goals.
• Represent the purchasing team on projects and help develop long-term global commodity strategies.
• Perform VA/VE workshops as requested by management.
• Create and implement Measurable metrics to report efficiencies or risks.
• Ensure procurement contractors are in place with NDA/LOI/SD/LON/LTA for new projects.
• Support planning and logistics when material issues arise to meet lead times.
