Paymentology is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our remote LATAM team. You will design, build, and operate reliable cloud services for global payments, drive observability, and lead reliability improvements across products.

You will collaborate with product engineering, own on-call responsibilities, and mentor engineers in best practices for scalable systems. Remote LATAM role with global impact and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related role.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, distributed systems, and service architecture.
Experience writing production code in Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Scala, or comparable languages.
Hands-on with AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Kubernetes (ECS, EKS).
Experience with observability, CI/CD, production automation, and infrastructure as code.
Understanding of cloud security and identity management (AWS IAM, AD).
Experience applying SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to assess service health.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate reliable software, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
Own reliability improvements end-to-end from discovery to delivery.
Identify recurring issues and deliver durable solutions for reliability and performance.
Contribute to design and code reviews to raise reliability and security.
Improve metrics, logs, alerts, and recovery automation.
Partner with product teams to improve service health and safe self-service.
