Nov Inc. in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to support our North America finance team.

The role focuses on general accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and SOX compliance, collaborating with Accounting Managers and Controllers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, fluent English, and experience with GL and month-end close.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience in General Ledger accounting and month-end close activities.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or JDE.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls is preferred.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work with good communication.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure timely completion.
• Support SOX testing and maintain compliant documentation.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Accounting Managers and Controllers to resolve issues.
• Apply accounting principles and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Provide financial analysis to support management decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and QA procedures.
