Teamswell is seeking a Staff Accountant, Client Accounting to support day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of venture-backed startup clients. This full-time, client-facing role collaborates with Controllers, Accounting Managers, and senior accountants across AP/AR/GL workflows.

Formación

• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with AP/AR/GL
• English communication skills
• Confidential information handling

Responsabilidades

• Own day-to-day accounts payable workflow across multiple client accounts, including reviewing, coding, and processing vendor invoices, and preparing ACH, check, and card payments for approval.
• Support accounts receivable processes across assigned clients, including invoicing, customer follow-up, and cash application, as needed.
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries and supporting schedules under the review of a senior accountant, Accounting Manager, or Controller.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple client entities, including preparing workpapers and supporting schedules.
• Maintain vendor and customer records, W-9s, 1099 tracking, and consistency between subledgers (AP, AR, payroll, billing) and QuickBooks Online.
• Review AP and AR aging and proactively flag overdue items, exceptions, or risks.
• Communicate professionally and directly with clients and vendors on routine accounting matters.
• Escalate non-routine issues, disputes, or coding questions to the appropriate Controller, Accounting Manager, or senior accountant.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready support for transactions and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the broader client accounting team on process consistency and workflow improvement.
• Apply AI, automation, and modern workflow tools to improve efficiency and documentation quality.
