Weldmation de México in Metepec is seeking a Senior NX Welding Fixture Designer with BIW experience to independently design complex fixtures for robotic welding cells in the automotive industry.

You will design fixtures using Siemens NX, define locating pins and clamps, apply GD&T, and collaborate with engineering to ensure manufacturability and quality. Fluent English for reading drawings is required.

Formación

• 5+ years designing Welding Fixtures in Siemens NX.
• Proven BIW (Body-in-White) project experience.
• Advanced technical English for reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Design welding fixtures using Siemens NX (Unigraphics).
• Develop fixture concepts for BIW assemblies.
• Define locating pins, supports, clamps and locating features to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Apply GD&T principles to guarantee manufacturing tolerances.
• Design fixtures capable of holding multiple sheet metal components during robotic welding operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Interpret customer drawings and technical documentation in English.

Location: Metepec / Toluca / Lerma / San Mateo Atenco, State of Mexico

Work Scheme: Project-Based | Freelance

Salary: (based on technical expertise)

We are looking for highly experienced Senior NX Designers with proven expertise in Body-in-White (BIW) Welding Fixture Design.

This is not a general mechanical design position. We are seeking professionals capable of independently designing complex welding fixtures for robotic welding cells in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design welding fixtures using Siemens NX (Unigraphics).
• Develop fixture concepts for BIW assemblies.
• Define locating pins, supports, clamps and locating features to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Apply GD&T principles to guarantee manufacturing tolerances.
• Design fixtures capable of holding multiple sheet metal components during robotic welding operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Interpret customer drawings and technical documentation in English.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years designing Welding Fixtures in Siemens NX.
• Proven experience in BIW (Body-in-White) projects.
• Strong knowledge of locating pins, clamps, supports and fixture design methodology.
• Advanced technical English for reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
