Ria Money Transfer in Queretaro, Mexico, seeks a Senior QA Engineer to elevate software quality through automated testing practices. You will lead automation initiatives, design tests, and work across IT to reduce manual testing dependency.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with developers and product teams, and implement scalable frameworks using Playwright and Azure DevOps. Fluency in English is required; local language Spanish is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional web testing and automation experience.
• Experience scaling test automation in teams that primarily use manual testing.
• Good knowledge of QA methodologies, test design, and defect tracking processes.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and time management skills.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication in English.

About This Role

We're seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our IT department at our corporate office in Queretaro, Mexico. In this role, you'll be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of software quality. This is a high-impact opportunity to elevate the team’s testing capabilities by introducing and implementing automated testing practices within an environment that has traditionally relied on manual end-to-end testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborates in software design discussions, reviews, and test strategy sessions
• Lead the transition from manual to automated testing by identifying opportunities, designing scalable solutions, and implementing automation frameworks
• Select, configure, and maintain automation tools (e.g., Playwright or equivalent)
• Responsible for performing risk and impact analysis and making recommendations for associated solutions
• Provides quality assurance estimates for resource and project planning purposes
• Design, execute, and maintain system and regression tests
• Creates test data and maintains regression test suites
• Apply solid knowledge of SQL and test management/version control tools like Azure DevOps
• Identifies potential process improvement areas, suggests options and recommends approaches
• Develop strategies to streamline and automate testing procedures during implementation phases
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
• Mentor junior team members on applications and job functions
• Represent QA leadership at status and technical meetings, as needed

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success in web testing and automation
• Experience introducing or scaling test automation in teams that primarily use manual testing approaches
• Good knowledge of relevant computing platforms and automated test tools
• Good knowledge of multiple department applications, subsystems, and functions
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies, test design, and defect tracking processes
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and debugging skills
• Strong project and time management skills
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
