TE Connectivity's Connected Living Solutions unit in Hermosillo, Mexico, seeks an Engineering Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams on new product development. You will drive schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring LEANPD stage-gate compliance and timely launches.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager Project Management in Middletown, USA, you will coordinate with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance and other functions to meet financial and customer

Formación

  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage global project teams with key functions in regions outside of North America.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage NPD projects following the LEANPD process, with a focus on launching new products on time.
  • Maintain project data in Planisware to achieve CLS Business Unit data integrity goals.
  • Ensure project progress and deliverables are achieved across all business functions to ensure compliance with LEANPD Stage Gate process.
  • Work with project core teams to develop a project schedule and drive the project to meet that schedule.
  • Work with the project core teams to develop a project budget and drive the project to meet that budget.
  • Work with the project core teams to identify project risks and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Work with Finance and Industrial Engineering to develop project P&Ls and CERs to support capital expenditures.
  • Update/communicate status of projects to Project Approval Committee (PAC).
  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to make sure committed New Product Sales (NPS) are achieved.
  • Potentially contribute to or lead overall continuous improvement initiatives to address systemic issues in the new product development process.

Job Overview

The TE Connectivity Connected Living Solutions (CLS) Business Unit has an opportunity available for a Project Manager located in Hermosillo, Mexico. This role will be aligned to the Lighting and Precision Connections (LPC) Sub-Vertical within the CLS Business Unit that provides connectivity and integrated systems solutions to customers in the Industrial, Automation and Outdoor lighting markets.

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the management of cross functional teams supporting new product development projects. The successful candidate will work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to ensure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. The Project Manager is responsible for defining and creating project schedules and ensuring project tasks are executed per that schedule. The Project Manager is also responsible for identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution of those constraints. The Project Manager is expected to adhere to the LEANPD process – a well-defined stage gate process that governs execution of new product development projects within TE. This includes regular presentations to the Lighting and Precision Connections Project Approval Committee (PAC) consisting of members of the LPC senior leadership team.

This role will report to the Sr. Manager Project Management in our Middletown, USA location.
