TE Connectivity in Hermosillo is seeking a Project Manager to oversee New Product Development projects. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in project management and have knowledge of manufacturing processes.

The role involves managing resources, ensuring timely project implementation, and reporting to the Project Approval Committee. The company offers a pleasant working environment with extensive training initiatives and a competitive salary package.

Job Requirements

• Evaluating project engineering designs and tracking project completion within budget and scheduling constraints.
• Reviewing reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address execution problems.
• Participating in the development of project schedules, work plans, technical estimates, and design documents.
• Monitoring project health, safety and integrity through compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

Background and Experience

• 5-10 years working experience in project management area or equivalent.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of a matrix organization and how to navigate it.
• Project management expertise to drive time to market balanced with commitment to quality.
• Good oral English.
• Qualification in project management or equivalent, PMP is preferred.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Take total ownership of one or more New Product Development projects.
• Lead the Core Team toward a common objective.
• Manage resources: ensure the project is "staffed for success".
• Negotiate with functional managers and Project Approval Committee (PAC) to alleviate resource constraints as needed.
• Discipline the System: ensure that the team are operating according to the development process.
• Keep people focused on the matters at hand as well as their area of responsibility.
• Report out project status to PAC following contract date.
• Be proactive to take actions and get things done.
• Resolve conflict and controversial issues.
