The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of managerial experience, and familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong leadership and fluent English skills are required, along with a US Visa.

Formación

• At least 10 years of managerial experience in a multinational manufacturing environment.
• 12+ years of experience in the power cable assembly industry preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial specifications like IPC 620.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a SR MGR MFG & PROCESS DVL ENGINEERING for DDN BU with location in Mexico. The SR MPDE Manager will lead a team of process development and automation engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for power cable assemblies and coordinating with the manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production.

Responsibilities:

Allocate and balance the work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.

• Lead a team of engineers who will:
  • Develop power cable assembly manufacturing process in accordance with LEANPD product development.

• • Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.
  • Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.
  • Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.

• • Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE DDN quality and production standards.
  • Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.
• Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
• Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs.
• Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need.
• Provide readouts to Director and VP level cross function management as necessary.
• Work with Mexico operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new product development.
• Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organizations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor or above degree with mechanical/electric related majors;
• At least 10 years managerial level experience related in multinational manufacturing site;
• Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools;
• With >12 years or above work experience in power cable assembly industry is preferred;
• Fluent in English and good presentation skills;
• Familiar with MS software;
• Familiar with industrial specification (i.e. IPC 620).
• Familiar with Stamping / Plating / Molding / Assembly processes
• US Visa is a must.
