Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Mexicali invites a strategic sourcing buyer to drive midsize value contracts and coordinate with internal clients to maximize cost effectiveness and productivity.

You will lead strategic plans with suppliers, align with commodity strategies, and push for working capital improvements and inventory reductions. The ideal candidate has extensive procurement and project management experience, strong negotiation skills, and a data-driven mindset.

A strategic sourcing buyer negotiates midsize value contracts, complex requirements and coordinates meetings with internal clients to meet objectives while achieving maximum overall cost effectiveness and productivity savings.

Responsibilities

• Drive SBG strategic plan with supporting strategies to achieve productivity/cost savings.
• Align with Commodity Strategies including spend site analysis, Cost, Market Analysis and Global Technology / Economic trends
• Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships
• Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Payment cycle optimization, Vendor Managed Inventories, etc.
• Inventory and Lead time reductions
• Assist in Site Tactical Procurement escalations, reconciliations and reporting as required
