TE Connectivity is seeking a Sr. MPDE Automation Control Engineer to drive LEANPD-driven product development and implement new manufacturing technologies that improve process control and manufacturability.

The role interfaces between product development and manufacturing engineering, designing tooling and processes, verifying supplier capabilities, and delivering improvements in quality, cost and cycle time across TE facilities.

Formación

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in automation, control systems, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience with PLC programming, SCADA, HMI, and motion control.
  • Advanced knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Good project management skill: ability to work on several projects at once.
  • Create competitive strategies and plans.
  • Experience at solving problems for process and designs.
  • Interpersonal skills, communication and ability to multitask.

Responsabilidades

  • Bridge product development and manufacturing engineering to optimize manufacturability.
  • Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to TE quality and production standards.
  • Document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems.
  • Support supply chain to verify supplier capability.
  • Initiate and implement programs to improve quality, cost and cycle time.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sr. MPDE Automation Control Engineer Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.



Job Requirements


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in automation, control systems, or electrical engineering, preferably within the cable manufacturing industry or similar industrial settings.

  • Experience with PLC programming , SCADA, HMI systems, and motion control for industrial applications.

  • Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office.

  • Good project management skill: ability to work on several projects at once.

  • Create competitive strategies and plans.

  • Experience at solving problems for process and designs.

  • Interpersonal skills, communication and ability to multitask.
