Airbus Helicopters Mexico Querétaro seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to industrialize products from design to robust manufacturing systems. You will provide the production area with resources, safeguarding quality, delivery, and cost while driving continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Responsibilities include defining build processes, routings, and BoM; leading PFMEA/FMEA; coordinating with Engineering and Supply Chain; ensuring HSE compliance and shop floor readiness for

Formación

  • +5 years working as a manufacturing engineer.
  • English B2 or higher.
  • Knowledge in GD&T and interpretation of drawings.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge and skills in assembly operations (drilling, countersinking, deburring, riveting, sealing, sanding, torque, rework, etc.).
  • Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA & SPC).

Responsabilidades

  • Improve production processes and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Define Build Process and routings for manufacturing readiness and right-first-time execution.
  • Drive PFMEA/FMEA activities and support shop floor feedback loops.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Communicate with Engineering & Supply Chain to translate design into manufacturable processes.
  • Create/update BoM and SOI taking shop floor needs into account.

[SR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER]

As an SR Manufacturing engineer you will define the industrialization of products based on specifications and designs, to transform them into robust manufacturing systems; providing the production area with necessary resources to carry out its processes; safeguarding the quality, delivery time and cost of the products. Manage and contribute through collaborative work, to implementation of continuous improvement ideas, using Lean Manufacturing tools that allow exceeding compliance with the indicators established by the company.

  • Improvement by providing work preparation expertise when issues not managed at shop floor level by technical shop floor support.
  • - Optimize further development for production processes in continuous improvement activities.
  • - Evaluate industrial impac- Collaborative-Design to Manufacturing (Co-Design/Co-Indus).
  • - Contribute to all phases of the design to ensure industrial needs are taken into account.
  • - Push industrial requirements to Engineering & Supply Chain. (not included Build to Spec and Service&Support topics).
  • - Introduce Manufacturing best practice/ standardization into design to improve cost efficiency and competitiveness.
  • - Define the Build Process.
  • - Calculate the time at operation level.
  • - Specify industrial asset (Jigs, Tools, Tooling, Machines,...) requirements for creation or modification.
  • - Drive implementation of 1st installation with required shop floor feedback loops for manufacturing readiness (right first time).
  • - Plan regular feedback loops with the Production Team/TSFS and go to Gemba.
  • - Create / update routings / BoM / SOI taken into account shop floor needs, Time calculation and Work Preparation Rules.
  • - Provide standardized work (e.g. step standard; standard operations as far as possible).
  • - Implement Standard Time Value in Routings (if MTM is implemented in an area).
  • - Ensure manufacturing process operations that execution of these is robust, reliable and safe.
  • - Run and support PFMEA/FMEA.
  • - Consider Health & Safety & Environmental regulation (supported by Experts of the dedicated metier if required).
  • - Manage key / recurrent work preparation issues transferred by the Production Team / Technical shop floor support.
  • - Communicate directly and by physical participation in Production Team routines and participate in project works in cross-skilled teams (national / international).
  • - Support shop floor continuities of modifications.
