Flex is spinning off SpinCo in 2027 to focus on critical digital infrastructure for AI data centers. The role will support SpinCo, driving end-to-end process improvements, line balancing, and capacity analysis to enable efficient manufacturing of advanced products.

Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, you will apply LEAN tools, coordinate NPI process planning, and work with engineering and sales to optimize labor and costs across production operations.

Formación

• BA/BS in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial engineering or similar role.
• Advanced English required.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and ISO standards.
• Experience with SMT/PCB manufacturing.
• Experience in production & facilities management.

Responsabilidades

• Increase productivity by managing workers, methods, and technology.
• Provide process time estimates to the quote team.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Role Description

Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, the role involves responsibilities for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.

Typical Day

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineer by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and or adequate tools.
• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during protyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Experience

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position or Industrial Engineer.
• Advanced English spoken and written.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing: principles of waste elimination, continuous flow, and continuous improvement.
• Process mapping (VSM): introductory ability to document and analyze value streams.
• Continuous improvement methodologies: basic exposure to Kaizen, 5S, and process standardization.
• Production & facilities management: capacity analysis, line balancing, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Lean & quality standards: basic Lean Manufacturing knowledge; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHA, IPC.
• Electronics manufacturing: SMT, PCB assembly, and clean room environments.
