The role promotes a safe workplace, minimizes environmental impact, supports audits, and drives a proactive safety culture across the organization. Key responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, waste and hazardous materials management, and the implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ESH, Safety and Environmental Management.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing (desirable).
• Managing ESH legal compliance and audits.

Job Description

The ESH Specialist supports the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements, corporate standards, and management systems. The role is responsible for promoting a safe and healthy workplace, minimizing environmental impact, supporting audits and inspections, and driving a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The position also supports the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
• Monitor waste management, hazardous materials handling, emissions, and resource consumption.
• Coordinate environmental improvement initiatives focused on sustainability and resource efficiency.
• Support environmental audits and inspections.

Management Systems

• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ISO 45001
• Management Systems.
• Maintain ESH documentation, procedures, records, and compliance evidence.
• Track ESH objectives, targets, and KPI performance.
• Participate in internal and external audits and support closure of findings.
• Implementation operational control considering the positions KPI´s.
• Implementation of programs to improve environmental, energy, and sustainability indicators

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in: Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ESH, Safety andEnvironmental Management
  • Managing ESH legal compliance and audits
  • In automotive manufacturing (desirable)
• Knowledge:
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems
  • Mexican EHS regulations (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, Protección Civil)
  • Risk assessment methodologies
  • Incident investigation techniques (5 Why, Ishikawa, RCA)
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Emergency response planning
  • Environmental sustainability initiatives
  • Customer requirements
• Desirable certifications:
  • ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
  • ISO 45001 Internal Auditor
  • Emergency Response Certification
  • Environmental Compliance Certification
