Eaton is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Engineer at the Tijuana site to drive EHS performance and support the Eaton Business System (EBS). The role focuses on implementing MESH, tracking indicators, and promoting a culture of zero incidents across the site.

You will work with EHS teams, support investigations, ensure compliance with STPS and local regulations, and contribute to continuous safety improvements through data-driven actions.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field.
  • 2–3 years' EHS engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of STPS Mexican health and safety regulations.
  • Advanced conversational English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining EHS programs.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist with implementing MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements.
  • Supports risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
  • Supports tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance.
  • Supports tracking and accomplishment of EHS goals for the site.
  • Supports and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
  • Supports EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
  • Works with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
  • Supports efforts for third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Eaton’s EHS program as world class.
  • Provides support on using established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data.
  • Supports efforts to ensure and track that all key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.

Qualifications
  • Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced conversational English skills, both written and verbal.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as an EHS Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Mexican occupational health and safety regulations, including STPS (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social) standards.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Strong communication, training, and employee engagement skills related to EHS initiatives.
