Honeywell Technologies is seeking a leadership-level engineer to head the IA/PA VE/CE COE in the Americas, delivering productivity improvements and margin enhancements across GBE. Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and supervisors, aligning with Engineering, Sourcing and Offering Management.

You will coach talent, drive strategic initiatives, and apply value engineering and component engineering principles to design to delivery processes, while promoting best practices globally.

Formación

• Engineering degree (Bachelor/Master) required.
• 10+ years' experience managing VE/CE projects.
• Solid knowledge on PMC and/or HGAS product portfolio.
• Experience in an industrial environment of large global organization.
• 10+ years experience in Honeywell relevance (HBT, SPS, AERO, HPS).
• DFSS Green Belt.

Honeywell's Value Engineering (VE) and Component Engineering (CE) Center of Excellence (COE) is a dynamic collective of professionals dedicated to refining product development through innovative engineering and strategic component selection. Working in tandem with GBE's Engineering and Procurement teams, the VE/CE COE is a global entity tasked with the critical mission of enhancing product margins and driving productivity, thereby securing Honeywell's competitive edge in the global market. Our mandate spans across all Strategic Business Groups (SBGs), with the exception of AERO, ensuring that value engineering and component engineering principles are consistently applied to deliver tangible savings and superior products. As a hub of flexibility and rapid adaptation, the VE/CE COE is Honeywell's strategic response to the \"ever-evolving\" marketplace demands.

You will be part of the IA/PA VE/CE COE leadership team leading a Cross Functional VE/CE team within the Americas region to deliver productivity results to sustain Honeywell growth in the marketplace.

You will be accountable for cross functional and business alignment, driving strategic initiatives, to improve productivity & to increase quality of the end products, as well as leading and develop a talented engineering team of professionals and supervisors. You will strategically plan and lead large teams involved in major programs and strategic initiatives.

You will leverage your technical experience and skills to guide teams in the investigation and solution of challenging technical problems.

You will lead, empower, and motivate engineering teams responsible for the design and development of products and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Americas VE/CE Team


• Developing ideas to meet the yearly targets and generating sustainable VE/CE pipeline for the coming years


• Deliver the yearly targets for Value Engineering and Component Engineering for the GBE


• Design and maintain common best practices and capable tools for the entire team


• Asses and benchmark current state end to end processes through value stream mapping and identify and opportunities to gain efficiencies upon, through automation, digitization, simulation, or process re-engineering and/or optimization throughout design to delivery processes.


• Establish and maintain business relationships with different stakeholders


• Propose and obtain cross functional and business alignment, specially with Engineering, Sourcing and Offering Management, driving strategic initiatives, to improve productivity & to increase quality of the end products


• Strategically plan and lead large cross functional and business teams of strategic initiatives


• Drive change and maturity across different processes


• Deliver, baseline and measure success on strategic initiatives


• Lead a team of high performing engineers, as well as people management and coaching leaders to ensure strong succession plan is in place in the team


• Develop global networks and involves global organizations touching technical activities like manufacturing, quality, technical support, export compliance e.a.


• Make timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness, even in the face of complexity


• Cross pollinating the best practices across IA Business


• Developing training plans for the TRR and People Competency Development.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Engineering degree (Bachelor /Master)


• 10+ years' experience managing, ideating and executing Value Engineering and Component Engineering projects


• Solid knowledge on PMC and / or HGAS product portfolio


• Experience in an industrial environment of large global organization


• Exceptional Change, Process, Data and Analytics Skills


• Solid knowledge of specific product and process technologies or broad knowledge of multiple processes and systems


• Experience in Hardware as well as Software


• 10+ years of experience in any business aligned to Honeywell relevance (HBT, SPS, AERO, HPS)


• DFSS Green Belt
