Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee structural analysis, stress engineering, and finite element analysis (FEA) for advanced composite and metallic aerospace components.
  • Ensure robust load path definition, load transfer validation, and compliance with aerospace certification requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain) to deliver reliable and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance in the use of PLM systems (such as Siemens Teamcenter / NOVIA) to manage engineering data, configuration, and lifecycle.
  • Drive the resolution of structural issues through MRB (Material Review Board) processes, supporting production and aftermarket.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical documents.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for engineering capability growth and technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Communicate technical updates and project progress to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with organizational goals.
  • Lead and develop a team of structural engineers and analysts, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Perfil buscado

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering within aerospace or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of composite and metallic structures, nacelle or airframe components, and aerospace certification standards.
  • Proven experience leading teams in stress analysis, FEA, and structural validation methods.
  • Experience with nacelle structures, composite structures, or large-scale aerospace assemblies.
  • Knowledge of FAA/EASA certification requirements and industry standards.
  • Strong proficiency in design and modeling tools such as CATIA V5/V6 for complex aerospace structures.
  • Experience using CAD/CAE tools to support structural design, integration, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, NOVIA) for configuration and data management.
  • Ability to collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with structural requirements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally to support global engineering teams, suppliers, and customer programs.
  • Must hold a valid passport and U.S. visa to support business travel when required.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
