Dematic in Mexico is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager to lead engineering strategy and drive operational excellence across a high-growth site. You will manage a team of industrial engineers and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Engineering to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enable advanced manufacturing.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of IE experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.

The Sr. Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager will lead industrial engineering strategy and operational excellence initiatives across a high-growth manufacturing site. This role will oversee a team of industrial engineers and partner closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to improve productivity, optimize processes, reduce costs, and support the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies.

• The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving skills and has a proven track record of leading Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, productivity, and transformation initiatives in complex manufacturing environments.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Lead the Industrial Engineering strategy and develop a high-performing team.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Partner with site and cross-functional leaders to drive strategic initiatives.

Process Optimization

• Optimize workflows, material flow, production lines, capacity, and labor utilization.
• Lead time studies, line balancing, ergonomic assessments, Kaizen events, and structured problem-solving.
• Implement standardized work and data-driven solutions to improve productivity, quality, and throughput.

Technology & Innovation

• Identify and deploy automation, Industry 4.0, and advanced manufacturing solutions.
• Use data analytics, dashboards, and simulation tools to improve plant performance.
• Support digital transformation and process modernization.

Productivity & Cost Improvement

• Drive improvements in labor productivity, cycle time, capacity, throughput, and operating cost.
• Lead layout redesigns, capacity planning, capital projects, ROI analysis, and equipment specifications.
• Ensure project benefits are achieved and sustained over time.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
• Support NPI, equipment installations, production transfers, and plant expansions.
• Provide leadership with data-driven recommendations that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in high-mix, complex, or high-volume manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams, ideally across multiple shifts, sites, or a large-scale operation.
• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading productivity, capacity, process optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Experience with time studies, line balancing, capacity planning, layout design, standardized work, and ergonomic assessments.
• Experience supporting capital projects, automation, equipment installation, NPI, or plant expansion initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, dashboards, and performance reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish; bilingual proficiency is required.
