SSOE, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer in Mexico to design and problem-solve for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech facilities. You will work with lead engineers, designers, and Sr.

Project Managers to ensure specifications are met and projects finish on time. Responsibilities include developing drawings, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of design methods.

Formación

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree (Electrical/ electromechanical / mechatronics or related).
  • Eight to twelve years (8 – 12) years or more as Electrical designer/engineer.
  • Experience with Low and Medium voltage building systems (facilities) such as Manufacturing, automotive, data centers, Semiconductors manufacturing, battery and EV, chemical plants.
  • Prior experience with equipment selection / breaker sizing and protection / conduit cable tray calculations / line circuit protection / load calculations / line and distribution / lighting controls / low voltage distribution / emergency systems.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 code.
  • Technical software experience (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SINCAL).
  • Advanced English.

Responsabilidades

  • Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard accepted methods.
  • Performs most assignments with instructions as to general results expected, exercises sound judgment to resolve problems, but may receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and solicits the approval of the department manager or project engineer for proposed design solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, local codes and client standards).
  • Participate leading medium projects.
  • Develop and/or review drawings and technical documents, including one-line diagrams, power and lighting layouts, cable routing and tray layouts, load lists, technical specifications and calculation reports.
  • May supervise and/or coordinate the work of less experienced engineers and designers and be responsible for checking a portion or all of the drawings completed on the project within the discipline.
  • Performs design work on CADD.
  • Develops engineering concepts and presentations.
  • Coordinates electrical design with other disciplines: mechanical, structural, process/chemical, architectural, etc.
  • Keeps current on new design methods and ideas.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring:

  • Engineering bachelor´s degree. (Electrical Engineering, electromechanical, mechatronics or related).
  • Eight to twelve years (8 - 12) years or more as Electrical designer/engineer.
  • Experience with Low and Medium voltage building systems (facilities) such as Manufacturing, automotive, data centers, Semiconductors manufacturing, battery and EV, chemichal plants.
  • Prior experience with equipment selection / bitter sizing and protection / conduit cable trail calculations / line circuit protection / load calculations / line and distribution / flow calculations / lighting controls / low voltage distribution / emergency systems.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 code.
  • Technical software experience (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SINCAL).
  • Advanced English.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior semiconductor industry, battery manufacturing and EV experience.
  • Prior Revit experience.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Master Pack (MasterSpec).
  • Prior experience with UPS Systems and photovoltaic (is a plus).
