Eaton in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, México seeks an experienced EHS professional to assure MESH compliance and drive a zero-incident culture at the site. You will execute initiatives, manage audits, and coordinate cross-functional actions to meet ISO standards and site objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in a technical field, 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/engineering, and intermediate English.

Formación

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Manufacturing and/or Engineering expertise.

Responsabilidades

  • Interact with other areas on site to develop and implement annual EHS action plan and EHS projects.
  • Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.
  • Develop & Follow up EHS compliance calendar and required activities to maintain EHS compliance.
  • Register all employee observations and employee concerns.
  • Be part of the investigation process of employee’s concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations, Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Be part of the emergency brigades and emergency preparedness for the site.
  • Update the EHS metric boards.
  • Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for any additional programs; develop and implement additional programs as needed.
  • Ensure site systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.
  • Teach all required EHS training.
  • Carry out assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with cross-functional team to work targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
  • Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
  • Works to develop MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Acting as a Champion or Co-Champion in several categories or elements (according with the assignment matrix).
  • Take active part in Lean events.
  • Execute the strategy to maintain and/or reduce budget.
  • Monthly walks with fire extinguishers & fire suppression system contractors
  • Ensure facility systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary Assure EHS Management System (MESH) compliance, execuate all the related initiatives and accomplishing the objectives of the area, including: reporting, exceute strategy for site ZWTL & ZWD certification, following-up of site security and developing a strong EHS culture.

R. Comply with and adhere to the policies and procedures established in the applicable Management Systems (EQMS, MESH, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards) to ensure compliance with the Management System

Qualifications:
Education level required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management
Years of experience required
  • 5 years of experience
Area of expertise
  • Manufacturing and/or Engineering
Technical knowledge
  • Understanding of components of an EHS Management System, Risk Assessment, Incident
  • Investigation, Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Machine Guarding,
  • Environmental Aspects (Water, Air, Waste, and Chemicals).
  • ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
  • STPS, SEMARNAT, Proteccion Civil, and Nuevo Leon legal requirement
  • Intermediate English
