Eaton Corporation Mexico is looking for an experienced EHS professional to assure MESH compliance, execute related initiatives, and achieve the site’s environmental and safety objectives.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, participate in audits, maintain EHS metrics, and promote a proactive safety culture while navigating local regulations such as STPS and SEMARNAT.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management
• 5 years of experience
• Manufacturing and/or Engineering
• Understanding of EHS management system components, risk assessment and investigation
• Environmental aspects (water, air, waste, chemicals) and ISO standards
• Intermediate English

Responsabilidades

• Interact with other areas on site to develop and implement annual EHS action plan and EHS projects.
• Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.
• Develop & Follow up EHS compliance calendar and required activities to maintain EHS compliance.
• Register all employee observations and employee concerns.
• Be part of the investigation process of employee’s concerns, EHS incidents, and near misses, with corrective action.
• Be part of emergency brigades and preparedness for the site.
• Update EHS metric boards and communicate metrics to management.
• Evaluate effectiveness of EHS programs and develop additional programs as needed.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary Assure EHS Management System (MESH) compliance, execuate all the related initiatives and accomplishing the objectives of the area, including: reporting, exceute strategy for site ZWTL & ZWD certification, following-up of site security and developing a strong EHS culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Interact with other areas on site to develop and implement annual EHS action plan and EHS projects.
• Actively participate in the Corporate EHS Audit Program as an auditor.
• Develop & Follow up EHS compliance calendar and required activities to maintain EHS compliance.
• Register all employee observations and employee concerns.
• Be part of the investigation process of employee’s concerns, EHS Incidents, and Employee Observations, Near Misses, along with corrective action development, implementation, and follow-up.
• Be part of the emergency brigades and emergency preparedness for the site.
• Update the EHS metric boards.
• Maintain and communicate EHS metrics as required, to facility, division and/or corporate EHS management.
• Evaluate effectiveness of existing EHS programs; determine the need for any additional programs; develop and implement additional programs as needed.
• Ensure site systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.
• Teach all required EHS training.
• Carry out assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with cross-functional team to work targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
• Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
• Works to develop MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Acting as a Champion or Co-Champion in several categories or elements (according with the assignment matrix).
• Take active part in Lean events.
• Execute the strategy to maintain and/or reduce budget.
• Monthly walks with fire extinguishers & fire suppression system contractors

Ensure facility systems to track necessary data for environmental reports, along with timely report submittal.

R. Comply with and adhere to the policies and procedures established in the applicable Management Systems (EQMS, MESH, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001:2015 standards) to ensure compliance with the Management System

Qualifications:

Education level required

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, health, engineering, chemistry or EHS management

Years of experience required

• 5 years of experience

Area of expertise

• Manufacturing and/or Engineering

Technical knowledge

• Understanding of components of an EHS Management System, Risk Assessment, Incident
• Investigation, Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Machine Guarding,
• Environmental Aspects (Water, Air, Waste, and Chemicals).
• ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
• STPS, SEMARNAT, Proteccion Civil, and Nuevo Leon legal requirement
• Intermediate English
