Job summary

Gates Corporation is seeking a Sr. App. Dev. Analyst IT specialized in Oracle EBS Finance to support and enhance Finance modules in a manufacturing environment. The role involves techno-functional expertise, documentation, and collaboration with Finance, IT, and Planning teams.

The candidate will manage L1/L2 production, perform code migrations, and participate in testing, validation, and deployment of Oracle Finance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of Oracle EBS R12 Finance experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting Oracle Finance implementations.
• At least 2 full-cycle Oracle EBS implementations in a manufacturing environment.

• Provides technical support to resolve Finance related issues with Oracle service requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Production support (Technical and Functional) of Oracle R12 Finance and other related modules.
• Provides technical support to resolve Finance related issues. Submits and follow up on service requests to Oracle.
• Supports the development activities for process improvement initiatives. Provides programming of custom code and migrates the solutions to production. Participates in testing/validation activities.
• Creates Technical and Functional documentations related to any development activities. Examples include BR100 and technical design documents for custom objects.
• Provide analysis, problem resolution and improvement plan for finance applications.
• Conduct gap-analysis and work with business team and functional architects to enhance AP, AR, GL, PA, SLA, and FA modules.
• Support the implementation of solutions through a formal process including requirements gathering and definition, gap analysis, design, development, configuration, project planning, testing and deployment.
• Provides techno-functional expertise in all Oracle Finance related applications.
• Manage and support L1 & L2 production along with code migration of fixes and enhancements.
• Manages the techno-functional documentation related to Oracle Finance Applications. Ensures that the documentation is up to date.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 6+ years of Oracle EBS R12 Finance experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting Oracle Finance implementations.
• At least 2 full-cycle Oracle EBS implementations in a manufacturing environment.

Functional Expertise

• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, FA, PA, iProcurement, and EBTax.
• Understanding of Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, BOM, WIP, and Manufacturing processes.
• Experience with finance interfaces such as AP Invoice, AR Invoice, and GL Interface.
• Knowledge of Oracle finance data structures, integration points, and data conversion processes.
• Experience preparing functional and technical specifications.

Technical Skills

• Oracle PL/SQL, Triggers, Procedures, APIs, Interfaces, and RICE components.
• Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, OAF, SQL Loader, Unix Shell Scripting, and Oracle Database technologies.
• Reporting tools including XML Publisher, Report Builder, and Discoverer.
• SQL/PLSQL performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle APEX and Java is a plus.

Implementation & Support

• Experience with Oracle implementation methodologies and ERP deployment projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and support production environments.
• Experience integrating Oracle Finance modules with third-party applications is preferred.

Professional Skills

• Strong communication, documentation, and training capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with Finance, Planning, Commercial, and IT teams.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Exposure to project management methodologies.

Preferred

• Experience with Manufacturing and Planning modules.
• Cross-functional knowledge of Inventory and Order Management.
