Onetree is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in Mexico City to drive data analysis, modeling, and the development of data-intensive applications on Azure. You will work with stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions.

You will design and optimize PostgreSQL data structures, build robust data pipelines with Python, Celery, and Redis, and deploy workloads on Azure with a focus on performance, cost, and observability.

Formación

• Senior-level data engineer with hands-on data modeling experience.
• Strong PostgreSQL performance tuning and index design.
• Proficient Python/Django development experience.
• Experience with Celery and Redis for async data processing.

At Onetree, we are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in data analysis, data modeling, and the development of data-intensive applications on Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, model, and transform data to support business decision-making, building analytics solutions with Microsoft Fabric: ingestion, transformation, semantic models, and reporting for business stakeholders.


• Design and optimize PostgreSQL data structures, including index design, query tuning, and schema evolution for large volumes.


• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines and asynchronous workloads using Python, Celery, and Redis, ensuring reliability, traceability, and observability.


• Deploy, monitor, and optimize data workloads and applications on Azure, balancing performance, cost efficiency, availability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Location: Candidates must be based in Mexico City and work in a hybrid model.


• Proven senior-level experience as a Data Developer / Data Engineer, with strong hands-on data analysis and data modeling skills.


• Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization and index design.


• Solid hands-on development experience with Python and Django.


• Experience with Celery and Redis for asynchronous and scheduled data processing.


• Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data analysis.


• Experience deploying and operating solutions on Azure.


• Intermediate level of English.
