TE Connectivity Corporation in TIJUANA, Mexico is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to contribute to technical initiatives across multiple projects, managing automation elements while maintaining performance and schedule. You will lead automation projects, troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems, and collaborate on design, installation, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.

A bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electronics and 5–7 years in the field, plus

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering.
• 5–7 years in automation engineering or similar.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Keyence, Siemens).
• Hands-on experience with robots, cobots, vision systems, HMIs and VFDs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and implement automation projects to improve manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, and automated production equipment.
• Perform sustaining engineering activities and resolve production equipment issues.
• Support assembly, installation, integration, and commissioning of systems.
• Design and develop fixtures and automation solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Manage selection and procurement of materials and equipment for automation projects.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive 5S implementation and process standardization.
• Ensure technical deliverables, project timelines, and performance objectives are achieved.

What your background should look like

Key Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in automation engineering or similar roles.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Keyence, Siemens).
• Hands-on experience with robots, cobots, vision systems, HMIs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, and servomotors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing automation projects from concept through implementation.
