Improving is seeking a skilled data integration specialist to migrate data from MySQL to SQL Server using SSIS. You will build robust data flows, ensure data integrity, and optimize large-volume loads.

Strong T-SQL expertise and experience with cross-database migrations are required; knowledge of SQL Server Agent and data validation is a plus. This role offers an opportunity to work in a diverse, inclusive team.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages for data migration from MySQL to SQL Server.
• Build data flows with robust error handling and restart logic for resuming failed loads.
• Handle data type conversions between MySQL and SQL Server.
• Build staging and crosswalk loads with proper remapping of IDs.
• Validate migrations with row counts, checksums, and exception tables.

• Develop, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages for a data migration from MySQL to Microsoft SQL Server
• Build data flows with robust error handling and rerun/restart logic so failed loads can be resumed cleanly
• Handle data type conversions between MySQL and SQL Server
• Build staging and crosswalk loads where parent records receive new IDs and child records are remapped to them
• Validate every migration with row counts, checksums, and exception tables to confirm completeness and accuracy
• Write and optimize T-SQL for transformation, reconciliation, and validation logic

What You’ll Bring

• Strong T‑SQL expertise with SQL Server as the target platform (development focus; DBA administration experience not required)
• Proven experience migrating data across database platforms, specifically MySQL to SQL Server
• Experience with parent/child key remapping in staging and crosswalk scenarios
• A rigorous approach to data validation and reconciliation
• Nice to have: hands‑on MySQL development, T‑SQL performance tuning for large‑volume loads, and SQL Server Agent job scheduling and monitoring
