Textron en Puebla, México, busca Especialista de Equipo/Specialist Equipment para liderar soporte y desarrollo de tooling y equipos en áreas de enfriamiento, soldadura plástica y automatización.

La posición requiere experiencia mínima en mecatrónica/ingeniería, inglés avanzado y disposición para viajes. Se valoran certificaciones Six Sigma y habilidades de gestión de proyectos.

Formación

• Formación en Mecatrónica/Ingeniería Industrial o experiencia equivalente.
• Experiencia mínima de 5 años en tooling/terminación/ensamble.
• Experiencia mínima de 5 años en automotriz o en planta/fábrica de plásticos.
• Capacidad para gestionar múltiples proyectos y viajar hasta 10%.

Responsabilidades

• Ser función de soporte técnica en herramientas y equipos en áreas asignadas (water cooling, soldadura plástica, pruebas de fuga, ensamblaje y automatización).
• Definir alcance de requerimientos para herramientas y equipos basados en CAD, tiempo de ciclo y desempeño.
• Liderar revisiones de diseño, preaceptación y aceptación final de proveedores durante el ciclo de construcción.
• Participar en iniciativas de desarrollo de nuevos productos y en transición a Industry 4.0.
• Cumplir estándares Kautex y gestionar PDCA y transferencia de conocimiento.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering, or equivalent based on experience and education.
• Master’s degree a plus, but not mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tooling/finishing/assembly.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and/or in a plastics manufacturing plant / shop floor.
• Fuel System experience preferred.
• Siemens and Festo knowledge preferred but not mandatory.
• PLC programming (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) has a definite advantage.
• Robotics experience a definite advantage (Fanuc preferred but not mandatory).
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification a benefit.
• Support of projects in plants abroad.
• The ideal candidate will be expected to successfully manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Able to travel a maximum of 10% domestically or internationally without restrictions.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Knowledge of Kautex standards.
• Uphold Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) guidelines for all equipment and tooling.

What awaits you:

• Be the equipment/technology support function primarily in the assigned areas pertaining to water cooling systems, plastic welding, leak testing, assembly processes, and automation.
• Responsible for defining scope requirements for tools and equipment based on CAD, cycle time, quality, Kautex Standards, and performance expectations.
• Function as the primary contact, when necessary, for tooling and equipment suppliers throughout the build phase, lead design reviews, pre-acceptance and final acceptance milestones, and track and resolve open issues (PDCA – Plan Do Check Act) pertinent to their assigned projects.
• Participate as lead or support function for new product development initiatives that are strategic to the business in areas such as Pentatonic and Industry 4.0.
• Follow and support Kautex Manufacturing Standards as well as development of new Standards and updating of existing Standards as needed.
• Implement lessons learned, ensure transfer of technical knowledge and prevent recurrence of failures.
• Participate or lead assigned equipment/tooling downtime reduction efforts.
• Define and Support Risk Assessments for your area of responsibility.
