Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Category Manager to lead subcontract and development services. You will work with World Area procurement and Operations teams to optimize supplier selection, sourcing, and negotiations, ensuring best cost solutions and CRA compliance across AspenTech and CSS.

You will analyze spend data, drive service category strategies, and foster long-term supplier relationships while leading supplier qualification and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field.
• 8–10 years of relevant work experience in supply chain or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain methodologies and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership and people management capability.
• Strategic thinking and data analytics proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spend data analysis to monitor changes in spending patterns.
• Develop and implement strategies to meet cost, risk, and quality objectives.
• Benchmark rates for key roles and support rate negotiations with suppliers.
• Coordinate supplier prequalification and approval processes.
• Own CRA compliance and due diligence actions for assigned suppliers.
• Collaborate with project teams to build long-term supplier relationships.
