AspenTech in Mexico is seeking a Category Manager to lead subcontract and development services, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure CRA compliance with suppliers.

You will analyze spend, define strategy with World Area teams, benchmark rates, prequalify suppliers, and negotiate favorable terms. Strong data analytics and leadership needed.

This role offers growth in a global procurement team and exposure to critical services across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain methodologies and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and data analytics/presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze spend data to monitor patterns.
• Define services segmentation and critical supplier lists.
• Develop strategies to improve cost, risk, and service quality.
• Benchmark rates for key roles against market data.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast demand.
• Coordinate supplier prequalification and approvals.
• Negotiate service agreements to meet requirements.
• Lead supplier business reviews and track savings.
• Share best sourcing practices across category managers.
• Ensure CRA compliance and alignment with company policies.
