Placements24 is seeking a Solar Energy Project Engineer for an on-site role in León, Guanajuato. Lead solar project development from concept to commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
Requires 5+ years in solar project delivery, PV design knowledge, and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and PVSyst. Fluency in Spanish and willingness to travel regionally are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years leading solar projects.
- Experience with utility-scale PV installations.
- Strong knowledge of PV technologies and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical aspects of solar projects from design through commissioning.
- Review and approve solar system designs to meet specs and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure timelines, quality, and safety.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resources.
- Prepare technical reports and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate with utilities and permitting authorities for approvals and interconnection.
- Ensure installations comply with Mexican safety and environmental regs.
- Troubleshoot construction challenges and improve execution processes.
