Nextpower in Mexico City is seeking a CAD Designer to provide design support to Project Engineers on tracker layouts, mechanical sheet sets, BOMs, and construction plan sets. You will interact with engineering teams across regions to ensure design and drafting standards are followed and to support project quoting and execution.

The role requires a BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (or an associates degree minimum), 2–5 years of project design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD

Formación

• BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Associates degree in related field at minimum.
• 2-5 Years of experience in project design.
• Thorough knowledge of drafting standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, & AutoCAD Civil.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated team player.

Responsabilidades

• Provide design support to develop tracker layouts, CAD blocks, mechanical sets, and full construction plan sets.
• Review pertinent site information, design inputs, and assist in selecting appropriate product types based on site conditions.
• Work with a team of engineers located in our India office updating to new product configurations and drafting standards and potentially developing automation procedures.
• Work with the Project Engineering team to conduct value engineering exercises to lower costs on an individual project basis.
• Coordinate with Nextracker’s Designers in other regions to create and update new product standards, design changes, and project related issues.
• Learn topography analysis, hydrology analysis, in order to determine best tracker placement.
