Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer II in Mexico City, Hybrid, to build scalable digital platforms supporting eCommerce, mobile apps, loyalty, identity, and order management. You will own end-to-end development, collaborate across teams, and work with cloud-native APIs in production.

The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability, enabling rapid delivery and reliable experiences for millions of consumers globally.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Kotlin, Swift, or similar modern languages.
• Experience developing APIs and cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, testing, debugging, source control, and CI/CD.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Passion for operational ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Build consumer-facing digital platforms supporting eCommerce, Mobile Apps, Loyalty, Identity, and Order Management.
• Develop scalable APIs and event-driven systems for high-volume experiences.
• Create cloud-native solutions focused on performance, resilience and growth.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, feature flag strategies, and safe deployment processes.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and observability to keep platforms running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of professional software engineering experience

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies
• Containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native platforms
• Exposure to observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or incident response practices
• Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms
