Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Software Developer I to join the Manufacturing and Supply Chain (MSC) Engineering organization in Veracruz. You will contribute to industrial software for planning, scheduling, optimization, and production workflows within an Agile team.

You will implement features, resolve defects, build automated tests, and grow your engineering skills under guidance. Strong C#/NET or C++/Java experience and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 2–3 years of general software development experience.
• Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles.
• Experience with C#, .NET, C++, or Java.
• Understanding of source control, debugging, APIs, databases, and the SDLC.
• Ability to interpret requirements and work with guidance.
• Strong learning mindset and teamwork in a global setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain software features under guidance.
• Translate user stories into clear implementations.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to deliver working software.
• Participate in backlog refinement and sprint ceremonies.
• Write unit tests and support automated testing.
• Contribute to code reviews and shared team knowledge.
• Document technical decisions and learn MSC workflows.
• Build familiarity with MSC customer workflows and product areas.
