Oferta confidencial is seeking a Site Quality Head to lead all quality functions at our manufacturing site, driving world-class performance from design through post-delivery support. You will align Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to embed quality into products and processes from development stages, govern APQP/PPAP, and ensure launch readiness.
This senior role manages NPQE, Process Quality, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality, with a 119-person quality organization
The Site Quality Head is responsible for leading all quality functions within the manufacturing site and ensuring world-class quality performance across the entire product lifecycle, from product design and development through mass production and post-delivery support. The role owns the overall quality strategy, with a strong focus on prevention, industrialization excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous reduction of defects, complaints, and quality-related costs.
As the senior quality leader, this position drives alignment between Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure quality is embedded into products and processes from the earliest development stages. The role is accountable for key quality metrics including Customer PPM, Customer Complaints, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and First Pass Yield (FPY), while promoting a prevention-based quality culture throughout the organization.
The Site Quality Head governs all aspects of APQP, NPQE, Product Validation, and PPAP, ensuring robust quality planning, risk management, and launch readiness. Responsibilities include establishing quality gates, approving product launches, integrating lessons learned into new programs, and preventing production release when significant quality risks remain unresolved.
The role provides leadership for New Product Quality Engineering (NPQE), ensuring early involvement in design reviews, DFM/DFA assessments, critical characteristic identification, DFMEA-PFMEA alignment, and manufacturing readiness evaluations. Process capability, error-proofing systems, and control plan effectiveness must be validated before Start of Production (SOP).
Additionally, the position owns product validation and reliability assurance activities, including Design Validation (DV), Product Validation (PV), environmental testing, and failure analysis. Validation plans must reflect customer requirements and real-world operating conditions, with all critical issues resolved prior to launch.
Other key responsibilities include supplier quality management, ensuring supplier readiness through APQP and PPAP compliance, driving audits and supplier development programs, and strengthening incoming quality controls. The role also ensures compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements through effective quality management systems and audit programs.
