Job summary

Trane Technologies in Monterrey, Mexico is seeking a Senior Welding & Assembly Process Quality Engineer to develop robust welding and assembly processes supporting operations and NPD programs. You will lead the implementation of welding standards and certification to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

The role requires expertise in Six Sigma, DOE, A3, 5 Whys, and DFMEA, along with mentoring teams on BOS practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronic engineering or equivalent.
• 7-10 years of welding and assembly process experience in manufacturing.
• Strong project and team management with Lean production expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize welding and assembly processes to support operations and new product programs.
• Define specifications, runoff, and installation requirements for welding capital equipment.
• Lead root-cause analysis using Six Sigma tools and 5 Whys.
• Develop and monitor control plans, PFMEAs, and ergonomic studies for welding.
• Coach auditing and ensure compliance with welding standards (AWS).
